DESCRIPTION | PI
PI is a 7-year-old bay john mule that stands 15.1 hands. He is out of a Pitzer bred AQHA buckskin mare. This awesome mule is big boned and has the frame to go any direction you want. PI was born and raised just down the road from our house. The notorious Pair-A-Dice Mules (Loren Basham) put a solid foundation on him and from there he went west and worked in the feed yard and proud wheat pastures for 3 years. He has had literally hundreds of yearlings roped and doctored on him. PI has a soft mouth and a one hand, two finger neck rein, big stopper, moves off leg pressure, and rides around like a quarter horse. He handles long layoffs perfect; he has been hauled all over and has been trail rode and hunted in some of the roughest terrains. He makes every step count and is as sure footed as a mountain goat. He moves over to a mounting block and will stand like a statue for mounting and dismounting. He will stand quiet on a high line, hobbled, or staked out by a single foot. PI has also been used to pack supplies up the mountain, and to haul your meat off the mountain. As an added bonus he will work single or double and you can lead dogs off of him. PI is easy to catch, clip, bathe, loads/unloads perfect, gets along with everything in the pasture, stands for the farrier as well as the vet. This is definitely one of the great mules that we have in our herd that the kids will fight over to get to ride. Perfect for the inexperienced and handy enough for the experienced. We can’t say enough good things about this mule. But don’t take our word for it take time to come try this great mule. For more information on PI or to schedule a time to try him contact Jason Griffin at 573-225-7144 or watch for more videos on our Facebook page JG Performance Horses.
