DESCRIPTION | Desperado
Desperado is a beautiful 9-year-old roan, sorrel and white paint john mule that stands 15 hands. He is built with a large quarter horse frame and big bone. I can't begin to put all the good things that I know about this mule on paper. What I can say is that this is a very reliable, safe, dependable, all-around, good using mule. He can handle a job every day and is always willing. Desperado also handles long layoffs and will be the same mule every time you need him. On our working cattle ranch, Desperado has been used in every aspect of ranch work. From sorting, gathering, checking cattle, penning, doctoring and packing in fence supplies, he does his job to the fullest. TRAIL MULE DELUXE!!!!! Stout built and can carry or pack most anyone or anything to the top of the mountain. Here is a mule that we have done it all with- from packing on trails, packing out elk and pigs, to going on overnight camping trips. We have ridden him through town, down busy highways, parades, crosses bridges, rivers and the roughest of terrains. He is definitely an independent, point and go mule. Desperado has a very good handle. He has a one hand rein, he will move off your leg, slide stop, take both leads and he will move over to a mounting block and will stand until mounted. He has a ground covering running walk when asked for it. He will walk slow and easy with quarter horses or will move on out and stay up with gated horses. Desperado will climb steep mountain sides at a walk and will go slow and patiently down the rough, rocky terrain, taking every step with confidence. He has spent lots of hours around dogs and has no issues leading them out of the woods. Desperado is easy to clip, bathe, ties, easy to load/unload from the trailer, stands for the farrier as well as the vet. Desperado is a super nice, safe family mule that will make a great edition to anyone's program, and I hope they enjoy him as much as we have for years to come.
