José, the 14.3hh, 4yr old John mule, is the ultimate cowboy deluxe. He thrives on having a job, so if you're in the market for a top-notch performance mule with a great mind and the bloodlines to match, José's your guy. He’s out of a Smokin Jose & Ms Chickasaw bred mare and by a Texas Scooter Jack. He's been day-worked off of, spent some time in the feedlot, lopes off with a one hand neck rein, and has even had some mounted shooting. He's carried flags, drug logs, and is traffic safe. This mule's been to the wagon races, week-long camping trips, and even a Colorado elk hunt where he packed the elk himself. He's also jackpotted in the team roping, pole bending, and barrel racing. I’ve ponied lots of colts off him, he’s had many different level riders from 5 to 65 yrs old. He can trot fence lines for hours, no need to pedal; he moves out and covers the ground.
