DESCRIPTION | Chigger
This is my personal mule and has been for a few years. In my eyes, he’s not only the best mule offered in this sale but the best in the world! He’s gentle for the WHOLE family, I don’t care if you are 4yrs old or 104, you can have fun and be safe around or riding Chigger. He has been there and done that, from the wild chaos of the wagon races in Arkansas to the snow top mountains of the west, he’s been my main mount. Don’t feel like jumping for your stirrup? That’s ok, stand on anything and he will side pass over and pick you up every time. It doesn’t matter how cold or how much time he has had off, just saddle him up and go or just jump on bareback - you WILL BE SAFE!!!!!! Chigger has been a humans best friend since the day he was born. He was raised by Mr. Basham out of Missouri and was handled and loved since he hit the ground. There, he was started and trained by the Lauren Basham. Chigger is by the late great Jack named Jake! He is as finished as they come out on the trail, nothing spooks him and he will cross anything you ask him to. Bridges, water, logs, big rocks anything!! He is beautiful on the inside and out! My 9yr old neighbor girl has been “training” him for me the last two years! He has helped teach her to ride and enjoy equine. She loves to brush him from head to toe. He loves every minute of it. Not only is he the best trail mule out there, he is an arena mule as well. He is a two time buckle winner at Jake Clark’s Mule Days. He won the pole bending and the hide race in 2023. He can be rode bareback with a halter, ride him double or triple he doesn't care. He loves people and he will catch you. You can call his name and he will come find you whether he’s alone or in a pasture will 100 other mules. We have done anything and everything on him, there’s not enough great things I can put into words about this guy. If you want a mule to go cowboy on, he’s also a professional at that. He has been roped off in and out of the arena and is stout from the horn. I have used him to start lots of young mules and horses to lead and ride. He will not sell out on you in any situation. I wish I could write a whole book on this friend of mine but the printing would get expensive!
