DESCRIPTION | SALLEE'S JLO
JLo is a gorgeous talented super gentle palomino molly mule. She is ten years old and just under 15.2 hands. JLo is out of a Tennessee Walking mare – she does not gait, but has a very comfortable smooth way of traveling. If you have a sore back or neck, she will help you enjoy the ride. We bought JLo when she was five years old, so have owned her half of her life. We have ridden her all over the mountain wilderness of Montana. She is not afraid of bears, buffalo, or bridges. She will cross high water and carefully pick her way through the boulders. She is picket broke by a front foot and hobble broke. JLo will lead, follow, or ride in the middle of a group and is extremely sure-footed. JLo is sweet. She will come find you in the pasture and likes attention. She leads well and jumps right in a trailer. JLo has good hard feet and is very easy to trim or shoe. She is great to catch and good with her ears. She does not chew on ropes or pull back when tied. She is fine to vaccinate or worm and is current on everything. JLo is a patient mule and will step over to a rock or mounting block and stand while we get on or off. We have had different levels of riders on JLo, from inexperienced to experienced. We rode her in the lead to move 150 head of horses and mules loose through city streets nine miles up the mountain and she is traffic safe and fun to ride. She is good with dogs. JLo has a nice neck rein and stop. She will easily squeeze into a trot or slow lope, and walk at the speed you ask. We took JLo riding in the red rocks and slot canyons of southern Utah and she was flawless. She will go where you point her and be a willing partner in any terrain or weather. She does not mind slickers, storms, or getting a rope under her tail. JLo has led the pack string all over the mountains. She has been ridden in the lead in the dark for hunting, and will stand tied for hours. She has been packed several dozen trips with supplies, meat or horns and will travel well anywhere in the string and not hit her loads on obstacles. JLo is sensible and smart. She has mega real life trail experience and most of all is safe. With her eye-catching flaxen mane and tail and lovely kind demeanor, she is a very special molly mule.
